M Davis Group’s 2026 Industrial Equipment Auction Highlights
From complete plant liquidations and multi-location sales to monthly auction showroom events, 2026 has already been a busy and successful year for M Davis Group.
Each sale has been different, but the goal remains the same: create an effective sales strategy, reach the right buyers, and help our clients recover value from their surplus industrial assets.
More Than $2 Million Sold in the Upper Crust Bakery Auction
One of the year’s biggest accomplishments was the two-day Upper Crust Bakery Equipment Auction in Phoenix, Arizona.
The sale featured commercial bakery equipment used for mixing, depositing, sheeting, and other large-scale production applications. Across the two auction days, the event generated more than $2 million in recorded sales.
This result demonstrated the importance of industry-specific marketing and access to an established network of buyers searching for quality used bakery and food-processing equipment.
Major Cocoa and Chocolate Processing Equipment Auctions
M Davis Group also conducted three auction days featuring equipment from a major cocoa bean and chocolate processing facility in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania.
The auctions included equipment used for cocoa processing, material handling, storage, electrical distribution, plant support, and related production applications. Together, the three auction days generated over 1M in recorded sales.
Projects of this size require much more than placing equipment online. Our team helps organize the assets, develop the auction catalog, market the equipment to qualified buyers, coordinate inspections, and support the process through auction completion and equipment removal.
Consistent Opportunities Through Auction Showrooms
Our Pittsburgh and Monroeville auction showrooms continued to provide sellers with another option for converting surplus equipment into cash.
Throughout 2026, M Davis Group held recurring showroom auctions featuring food-processing equipment, beverage equipment, bakery machinery, packaging equipment, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical equipment, spare parts, material-handling equipment, and general plant support assets.
The auction showroom model can be especially helpful for companies that need to clear warehouse space, sell individual pieces of machinery, or market equipment that may not be suited for a complete plant auction.
At our showrooms, equipment can be cleaned, staged, photographed, cataloged, and presented to buyers in a professional auction environment.
Multi-Location Industrial Equipment Auctions
M Davis Group also conducted several multi-location auctions during 2026.
These online industrial equipment auctions allow businesses to sell machinery directly from their own facilities without relocating it to an auction showroom. Equipment from multiple sellers and locations can be combined into a larger event, helping individual consignors benefit from a broader marketing campaign and an established audience of industrial buyers.
Multi-location auctions can be a practical solution for ongoing operations, facility upgrades, production-line changes, excess inventory, and surplus machinery that is no longer being used.
Serving a Wide Range of Industrial Sellers
The auctions completed so far in 2026 reflect the range of industries and situations M Davis Group supports, including:
- Food and beverage processing
- Commercial bakery production
- Cocoa and chocolate manufacturing
- Packaging and bottling
- Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production
- General manufacturing
- Plant support and electrical equipment
- Complete facility liquidations
- Surplus equipment from ongoing operations
With more than 60 years of experience, M Davis Group understands that no two equipment sales are exactly alike. Some clients need assistance with a complete plant closure, while others may only have a few surplus machines taking up valuable space.
Our team evaluates the equipment, timing, location, and seller’s goals before recommending the right sales method.
Looking Ahead to More Industrial Auctions in 2026
With additional auctions scheduled throughout September and more opportunities ahead, M Davis Group is continuing to connect sellers with buyers across the food, beverage, manufacturing, packaging, and industrial equipment markets.
We are grateful to the sellers, buyers, partners, rigging companies, and team members who have contributed to this year’s success.
If your company is closing a facility, upgrading a production line, clearing warehouse space, or selling surplus industrial equipment, M Davis Group can help determine the best path forward.
